Description:
Error: “The search request was unable to connect to the Search Service”
Event Log has errors referencing a corrupt index.
Solution:
* Reset index
SSP Administration > Search Settings > Reset all crawled content
* Perform a full crawl
SSP Administration > Search Settings > Content Sources > Perform a full crawl
